The Hits Keep Coming

My appendix is healing still; my entire constitution is slightly off -sometimes nauseous, constipation or diarreah, severe pains if I'm too hungry, too full, too whatever. The good news is that I'm no longer taking pain pills and I'm fairly certain that will make a huge difference in how I'm feeling.

When I went to the hospital, my left knee was bothering me something fierce. It had swelled up and started hurting for no apparent reason a couple of weeks earlier. My regular doctor suggested pain meds and a visit to an orthopedic doctor. She said we'd follow up on the stomach issues I mentioned at a separate appointment. Anyway, as soon as I made it to the emergency room and got the heavy duty pain medicine, my knee became a non-issue. The swelling went down and I forgot that it had been a problem at all. Until last night - after being on my feet a lot of the day, it began to swell and hurt.  And it hurts now, after sleeping all night.

Blech.

It's very, very clear that I'm being forced to sit down and face something that I've been too busy to be attentive to.
