The Panic is Back
It's because I haven't exercised in the last two and a half weeks. The tightness in my chest could be from skipping my asthma medication (I'm too freaking focused on getting stuff done that I frequently forget about myself) but chances are the following list is also, um, cause for the stress I feel:
-Wood will be gone for a week starting Saturday
-First grade is over in two weeks
-Summer camp plans are not 100% set and paid for quite yet
-My promotion at work is going to add a lot to my plate and I'm not sure I want the extra responsibilities
-My FMLA/OFLA request is not being denied, per se, but I'm definitely "schooling" my boss and the HR department in the law (yes, I have been living in Oregon for only a year and since no one has ever requested leave they're learning on my dime)
-The Green car (aka: Power Unit) broke down, is in the shop, and may, in fact, have a blown head gasket
-Grandma has been having some incontinence issues as of late, that kinda mucks up the morning routine
-The company that operates the buses that Grandma rides and broke her back riding a few weeks ago, has said that they don't believe that she got hurt on their watch. I'm having to fight them to file a claim
-I just hired an in-home care agency to do some of grandma's care. While great, it's an adjustment to have a stranger in my home doing things that I usually do
-Our tenant is not paying her rent (again) so we've started the eviction process (again)

The stress just melts away when I run hard, do push ups, squats, dips and burpees. Tomorrow night while I'm leading the group I'll curse the idea of running and any measure of strength training. But since I'm leading the charge, I'll have no excuse but to push myself, encourage the others, and be sure to keep an eye on the clock. I'll feel better for it in the end and because of burpees, this list won't seem so insurmountable.
