Heart Heavy
That heartburn I mentioned a while back hasn't subsided. It's periodic, showing up at odd times, and has woke me in the middle of the night twice now. It doesn't feel like heartburn. It feels like someone is stepping on my chest (right between my boobs or shoulder blades). Tums doesn't help.
The Palpitations that I've noticed and were cause for the Doctor to call me about test results, have taken a weird turn too. Whereas they have always been one at a time, they are now three and four at a time. It feels really strange. Not painful or anything like that, just strange and maybe a bit frightening.
Wood made me promise to call the doctor's office first thing this morning.
I willingly complied.
The doctor that I saw for the beginning stages of this issue is on vacation for the rest of the month. The fabulous Bernice (really, she's great) at the front desk referred my issue/question to my "regular" doctor. I have been thinking about making a change because I feel like the "regular" doctor thinks that I'm merely under stress, and doesn't take my concerns seriously... After about an hour, Bernice called to let me know that the Doctor had no appointments for today and they would be writing me a prescription for an Asthma inhaler. Huh?
I've had asthma on and off all of my life. And it's usually exercise or pollution induced. But this doesn't feel like my Asthma. And the other doctor said that if my Heart palpitations increase or I begin to experience other symptoms to promise to call and get in to her office. I'm trying to follow directions here.
Good news is that the Asthma inhaler will certainly keep my heart beating...
And I have an appointment Tuesday morning.

I have a guess. It is unsolicited so please forgive me. Try dropping lemon drops and all related items for two weeks and see if it changes.
Heart palpitaions are so wierd and scary and your "heartburn." I dunno, but it is concerning.
This from a great admirer, remember.
xo.
Actually, I'm one step ahead of you. Already made the decision the day after we spoke. Wood's joining me, too. Just have to move things around in the house so that it's not so easily accessible.
The inhaler really helped. Once I got it, that is. When I arrived at the pharmacy at 6:30pm to pick it up, they said no one had called it in. Grr. Called me at home about 15 minutes later to say the script had just been faxed in.
It took until this morning to feel normal again. But I feel like that foot is off of my chest and I can breathe much better. Guess that M.D. kinda counts for something.
Wow. You are quick and serious! Keep me posted if you can. I care about you, your body, your health, your family. Asthma changes with the years and life changes. I'm so glad the inhaler has helped.
